Dealing with Rejection
“Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven…” (Luke 6:22-23).
God is light, and we are children of light. Jesus told us that “men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, or his deeds would be exposed” (John 3:19-20).
Don’t Count It Strange That You Are Rejected
We should not think it strange that a world ruled by darkness, and that which gets its life and enjoyment from darkness, should hate the light. So instead of sulking with hurt feelings and contemplating whether the world’s (and Satan’s) accusations are correct that your light is too bright, remember that there is a natural contention in light and darkness.
Lift Your Head and Stop Apologizing
Stop apologizing for being light. If you are a true child of God, you must be as unapologetic (this doesn’t mean being arrogant or mean!) of your light as the world is of its darkness. They are not ashamed of sin and sinning against God; we shouldn’t be ashamed of righteousness and obeying God.
Well, that’s enough for today. Some “brilliant” folks have gone on record as saying a giant explosion created the universe, and subsequently all of us. You think if I go down to the automotive junkyard with a bunch of dynamite, I can blow up enough junk to make a pristine 2017 Mercedes-Maybach S600 appear? Probably not, huh? I know, I know, it would take billions of years before the Mercedes-Maybach would evolve.
I don’t have that long to wait for a car—even a Mercedes-Maybach.

Dolly,I couldn’t agree more that we should be more intentional and determined in walking in the freedom provided to us in Christ.
Thank you for your comment!
This is such a challenge to many Christians, you speak of believing and acting in Freedom IN Christ. “What’s love got to do with it”? Everything. His perfect love handed us freedom paid for in full but we have to receive it otherwise we FEEL not free.
